On June 25, 2025, Melody Sitt, Services Coordinator – Youth Specialist, HOPE through HOUSING Foundation will present to the Rotary Club of San Dimas on the mission of the HOPE through HOUSING Foundation.
In 1998, the Hope through Housing Foundation was founded with the mission of empowering residents of National Community Renaissance (National CORE), one of the nation's largest nonprofit affordable housing developers. By the mid-90s, National CORE had earned a strong reputation for revitalizing distressed neighborhoods plagued by poverty, crime, and neglect, creating safe and quality apartment communities for residents.
Recognizing the need to do more for the children, families, and seniors living within these communities, the Hope through Housing Foundation was created as an independent nonprofit. Its aim was to provide a comprehensive range of educational and charitable programs to support children, young adults, low-income families, and seniors, improving their lives and empowering them to reach their full potential.
Over the past two decades, Hope through Housing has focused on designing programs that deliver measurable outcomes. These programs aim to: (1) prepare children for success in school and life; (2) equip adults with skills to improve their economic standing; and (3) enable seniors to remain healthy, active, and independent.
As a key partner to National CORE, Hope through Housing has continuously adapted its approach to best serve the needs of the community. Today, the Foundation’s work goes beyond direct services, breaking the cycle of generational poverty by offering innovative programs that meet the unique needs of the children, families, and seniors it serves.
