On November 5, 2025, at 12 Noon via Zoom, Rudy Hayek, LMFT, Rotary District 5300 Mental Health & Wellness Co-chair, will present on Rotary International’s Global Mental Health Initiative.
Rudy Hayek is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Relationship Coach. He is the Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Glendora, Area 4 Governor, and Co-Chair of District 5300’s Mental Health & Wellness Committee. Since 2023, he and his committee have been developing a platform to support Rotarians and their clubs in recognizing and addressing potential mental health challenges within their clubs and communities.
He is very excited to share the current status and stance of the Committee, as well as provide suggestions and call-to-action items that can help our club improve Connection, Communication, and Cohesiveness.
In 2022, under the leadership of Past Rotary International President Gordon McInally, Rotary International launched a global initiative to encourage Rotary clubs worldwide to focus on mental health. McInally called on all Rotarians to directly address the mental health crisis by recognizing that grief, stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout affect Rotarians as well as those they serve.
